My Birthday Weekend in Valencia, Spain
We went to Valencia for my birthday weekend and rented an apartment for one night. From Alicante it is a two hour train ride to Valencia.

We arrived in the morning, got to the apartment , and then went to Guliver’s Park in the center of the city. It was a lot of fun!

After Gulliver’s Park, we rented a bike which fit four people, but not too comfortably. A lot of people with electric scooters passed us and all of us wanted to try it. We spent an hour on the four person bike before we were on the hunt for electric scooters.
We found a place that rented scooters, but when we got there there weren’t enough scooters for us to ride. So we went out to lunch - it was pretty good. After that we went back to the scooter place and we were off on the electric scooters! It was so different and fun.

We loved the scooters - they were so much fun!
After the scooters we were all really hungry so we stopped at a churros and chocolate stand. Churros and chocolate are basically donuts that are dunked in a thick hot chocolate and then eaten. The churros were really good, but my parents didn’t really like the chocolate! We ran into a band on the street and watched for a few minutes before we left in search of a taxi to take us home.
Valencia was celebrating a holiday called Las Fallas pronounced “Fiyas” while we were there and so everyone was really festive. We hung out at the apartment for about an hour before we went out to dinner. It had started to drizzle, so we decided that we would just pick a place on our street and eat there. There was a good looking indian place, but no one was in the restaurant so we went to an Italian place that was REALLY good. The street we were on was blocked off for the holiday so, kids were running around and setting off fireworks and firecrackers. After dinner (and dessert) we went home and went to bed.

The next morning was my Birthday! The house was dercorated and I opened my presents before we went out for churros and chocolate at a place called Bayu. It was really good.
I really like oceans so we went to the Oceanografic Aquaruim for my birthday. We stayed there most of the day because it was so big! It was the highlight of my day! We saw stingrays, jellyfish, sharks, lots of fish, beluga whales and lots of other animals! We got to see an amazing dolphin show too! I got a stingray stuffed animal because I have started to collect them and they are my favorite animals.

We had to catch the train back to Alicante so we hurried home. As we were about to get to the door of the apartment, we ran into the guy who was renting the apartment to us. He invited us to have some fresh squeed orange juice (he owned a bar/restuarant). When we finished our drinks we got our bags and left to go back to Alicante.

We got to Alicante late that night. We had planned to watch a movie for my birthday, but we decided to do that the next night instead.
The next day we had school and we did the normal things you do on a regular day. That night though, we baked a lemon cake and watched, “The Parent Trap” for my extended birthday night!

It was an awesome birthday weekend.
